I think I'm finally making a journal telling you that it's friends lock now.   Some of the older things will remain unlock since I'm lazy to lock it.  Comment if you want to become friends with me.

P.S. some of the writer's block will remain unlock since I find no point in locking them really.

Can someone tell me how to make the picture thing on top. Or do you have to pay for that?.   also I'm playing with this so don't mind me. I'm sorry if this bothers you to no end.

Congress wants to take away your internet.

Folks, I know you're tired of me yelling at you, but you should be aware that there's a hearing this morning being held by the US House Judiciary Committee on a "copyright" bill that will essentially break the entire internet.

You like the internet, right? I mean, you're here.

From the link above:

As drafted, the legislation would grant the government and private parties unprecedented power to interfere with the Internet's domain name system (DNS). The government would be able to force ISPs and search engines to redirect or dump users' attempts to reach certain websites' URLs. In response, third parties will woo average users to alternative servers that offer access to the entire Internet (not just the newly censored U.S. version), which will create new computer security vulnerabilities as the reliability and universality of the DNS evaporates.

It gets worse: Under SOPA's provisions, service providers (including hosting services) would be under new pressure to monitor and police their users’ activities. While PROTECT-IP targeted sites “dedicated to infringing activities,” SOPA targets websites that simply don’t do enough to track and police infringement (and it is not at all clear what would be enough). And it creates new powers to shut down folks who provide tools to help users get access to the Internet the rest of the world sees (not just the “U.S. authorized version”).

This is being framed as an attempt to fight hackers and pirates. Don't buy it. And don't think for a minute that it's going to stop there. This is bad. And at the hearing today, only one opponent of the bill is being allowed to testify.

Please do whatever you can to fight this. Email congresspeople. Sign petitions. Yell about it in every venue you can.

What is the best book you've read this year, and why?

A lot of newer books(basicly after twilight became famous) are kind of similar. They have some differences but they link up somehow.   I think the best book I read this year is "A density of Souls" by Christopher Rice recommanded by a friend.  This book took a few weeks to find but it was worth it.

What's your favorite thing to do on long car rides?

I hate long car rides. I can handle three hours one. Once it hit six hours, I rather not get into the car. I usually sleep, or read. At most I will pull a movie up somehow.

Writer's Block: You must remember this

How do memories influence the decisions you make? Is it better to embrace memories, even the painful ones, or cast them off?

Yes I think our memories influence the decisions we make. I think it's better if we embrace our memories. Without them, we are not who we are today. If we live trying to forget a certain memory, you usually think of that memory more than not.

If you had to go an entire week without TV, music, or your mobile phone, which would you choose, and why?

i did that before. For music camp. I survived without electronics....they seriously had no tv but had internet connection. i didn't have time to use the computer anyways. I guess I can't live a week without playing some kind of music. Not listen, but sing/play. For four/five of  the seven days now, I play my violin. I love it to much.

Are you ever too old to go trick-or-treating? Is candy for everyone?

View 1023 Answers

I trick-or-treated up till I was in my first year of high school.  This year I can't because it's on a Sunday. Not only that, Monday I a test and a concert the following day.  I love trick-or-treating but I'm just having a party on a Saturday(today).  Candy is definatly for everyone.  But this as the years went by, I keep getting candy i don't really like and I just left it on the kitchen till one of my friends come over and have some. I guess it's better to go out and buy some of your own favorite candy if you can afford. But I guess young children won't really complain on what candy they will get tomorrow night.

If you wanted to have children and had trouble conceiving, would you be more likely to consider IVF, surrogacy, or adoption, and why?

View 1024 Answers

I will be adopting..if I want kids at all.  How many homeless kids are there out in the world? How many kids are out there who is in need for a new home?  I don't want to give birth to kids if I can give another child a new home.
